Everything You Need Beyond the Box
A gaylord box or bulk container is only part of the solution. Liners protect contents from moisture and contamination. Pallets provide a stable foundation for handling and storage. Straps keep loads secure during transit. Corner protectors prevent crush damage. Dust covers keep contents clean. And proper labels keep your inventory organized. We carry every accessory you need to ship, store, and manage bulk packaging safely and efficiently.
Box Liners
Box liners are an essential accessory for any gaylord box or bulk container application where contents need protection from moisture, dust, or cross-contamination. A properly fitted liner transforms a standard used gaylord box into a clean, moisture-proof vessel suitable for food ingredients, pharmaceutical materials, electronic components, and other sensitive products.
Poly Liners (Polyethylene)
The most common type of box liner. Made from low-density or high-density polyethylene film, poly liners create a waterproof barrier between the contents and the corrugated walls of the box. Available in clear, opaque, and anti-static formulations. Standard thicknesses range from 1.5 mil for light-duty applications to 6 mil for heavy-duty or sharp-edged contents.

Paper Liners (Kraft)
Kraft paper liners provide a breathable barrier that absorbs moisture rather than trapping it, making them ideal for produce, agricultural products, and other items that need air circulation. They also add an extra layer of cushioning to protect contents from the rough interior surface of used boxes. Paper liners are fully recyclable and compostable, aligning with zero-waste sustainability goals.

Pallets
A gaylord box without a pallet is like a house without a foundation. Pallets provide the structural base that allows gaylord boxes to be safely moved by forklifts, stored on racking, loaded onto trucks, and stacked in warehouses. We carry both wood and plastic pallets in the standard 48x40 inch footprint that matches our entire gaylord box and bulk container inventory.
Wood Pallets
The industry workhorse. Wood pallets are the most widely used pallet type in North America, compatible with every forklift, pallet jack, and racking system in existence. We carry GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association) standard 48x40 inch pallets in both new and used condition. Used wood pallets are inspected and graded to ensure they meet weight capacity requirements and do not have broken boards, protruding nails, or structural weaknesses.
Specifications
Plastic Pallets
Plastic pallets offer advantages over wood in applications requiring hygiene, consistency, and long-term reusability. They will not splinter, absorb moisture, harbor insects, or shed loose material. They weigh less than wood pallets, reducing shipping costs, and they provide a consistent, uniform footprint every time. Plastic pallets are especially popular in food processing, pharmaceuticals, and clean-room environments.

Straps & Bands
Banding and strapping secure gaylord boxes to pallets, prevent lids from opening during transit, and hold stacked containers together for safe transport. Proper strapping is not optional for freight shipments. Carriers can refuse loads that are not adequately secured, and improperly banded shipments are the leading cause of transit damage claims in the bulk packaging industry.
Polypropylene (PP) Strapping
The most economical strapping option for light-to-medium-duty applications. PP strapping provides adequate tensile strength for most gaylord box shipments weighing under 1,500 pounds. It is lightweight, easy to apply by hand or with a tensioning tool, and safe to cut and dispose of. Available in multiple widths and colors for visual load identification.
Specifications
Polyester (PET) Strapping
The premium choice for heavy-duty applications. PET strapping offers significantly higher tensile strength than polypropylene and retains its tension over time, making it ideal for long-distance shipments, heavy loads, and palletized stacks that will be stored for extended periods. It is the go-to choice for loads exceeding 1,500 pounds and for shipments traveling long distances where vibration and handling stress are factors.
Specifications
Corner Protectors
Corner protectors distribute the compressive force of stacking and strapping across a wider area, preventing crush damage to the edges and corners of gaylord boxes. They are especially critical when stacking loaded boxes on top of each other in warehouses or on trucks, and when applying straps or bands that can cut into corrugated material under tension. Corner protectors are inexpensive insurance against costly product damage.
Cardboard Edge Protectors
Made from layers of laminated recycled cardboard formed into an L-shaped profile. These are the most common and cost-effective option. They protect corners from strap damage and distribute stacking weight. Fully recyclable and available in standard lengths from 2 inches to 48 inches. Custom lengths and widths are available for non-standard applications.
Specifications
Plastic Edge Protectors
Reusable plastic edge protectors are designed for closed-loop supply chains where the same corner protectors travel back and forth between facilities. Made from high-impact polypropylene, they snap onto box edges securely and can be reused hundreds of times. While more expensive per unit than cardboard options, the per-use cost is dramatically lower over their lifespan.

Dust Covers & Lids
Open-top gaylord boxes expose their contents to dust, debris, moisture, and accidental contamination during storage and transit. Dust covers and lids solve this problem by providing a protective barrier across the top opening. Whether you are storing inventory in a dusty warehouse for months or shipping across the country on an open freight trailer, proper covers keep your contents clean and protected.
Corrugated Lids
Flat or scored corrugated lids that sit on top of a gaylord box, providing a rigid protective surface that doubles as a stacking platform. When properly fitted, corrugated lids allow loaded gaylord boxes to be stacked two or three high without risking crush damage to the contents below. They are the most common choice for warehouse storage applications.
Specifications
Poly Dust Covers
Lightweight polyethylene sheet covers that drape over the top of open gaylord boxes to prevent dust, moisture, and debris from entering. Unlike rigid lids, poly covers conform to uneven load surfaces and can be quickly applied and removed. They are the most cost-effective option for dust protection during short-term storage and in-facility moves.

Labels & Marking Supplies
Proper labeling and marking is critical for warehouse management, shipment tracking, regulatory compliance, and inventory control. Used gaylord boxes often arrive with previous labels, markings, and barcodes that need to be covered or replaced. Our labeling and marking supplies make it easy to re-identify used boxes with your own information, ensuring clean inventory management and professional-looking outbound shipments.
Adhesive Labels
Pressure-sensitive adhesive labels designed specifically for corrugated surfaces. Our labels use aggressive adhesive formulations that bond securely to the textured surface of cardboard boxes, even over previous labels and tape. Available blank for hand-marking or pre-printed with your custom information including logos, barcodes, SKU numbers, and handling instructions.
Specifications
Markers, Stencils & Cover-Up Labels
For quick manual identification, industrial-grade markers and stencil kits provide fast, legible marking on corrugated surfaces. Cover-up labels are large, opaque white labels designed to completely conceal previous markings, barcodes, and logos on used boxes, giving them a clean slate for re-identification with your own information.

Why Accessories Matter
The majority of freight damage claims stem from inadequate packaging. Proper liners, straps, corner protectors, and dust covers dramatically reduce the risk of damage during transit.
Most packaging accessories cost pennies to dollars per unit. Compare that to the cost of a single damaged shipment claim, which averages $500-$2,000 in the bulk packaging industry.
Gaylord boxes that are properly protected with liners, corner protectors, and dust covers last up to three times longer than unprotected boxes, dramatically reducing your per-use cost.
Every accessory we sell is available in a fully recyclable or reusable option. From kraft paper liners to cardboard edge protectors, sustainability runs through our entire product line.
